This Summer, CAMP is Where You Make It!
Camping is a Girl Scout tradition and we are excited to offer a Virtual Camp experience for our Lakeville Girl Scout community! Click here for a fun video on 2020 camp.
This virtual camping experience will give girls and families a chance to connect with each other and the camp Program Aides through a common love for camp and the outdoors. This event aims to bring you the magic and traditions of camp from home.
We encourage you to share your virtual camp experience on social media with the hashtag #LakevilleGSCamp2020. Whether you pitch a tent in your yard, craft s'mores in the microwave, construct a dreamy blanket fort, or sing a song with your troop over video chat, your at home camping creations will inspire other girls to try it out themselves!
Girls can get together to complete activities if social distancing rules can be followed. This might be the time to invite a neighbor who hasn’t tried camping to try something new and have some fun together!
To sign up for 2020 Lakeville Girl Scout Day Camp go here and click on "Register Now".
Cost: $30 for Campers (Going into 1st-6th grade), $35 for PAT (Program Aide in Training)
Each camper will receive a box prior to camp start date that will include a t-shirt, patch, mini songbook, welcome and agenda, access to a website with all resources necessary to complete the activities successfully, and most supplies needed to complete crafts, etc. Boxes will be available for pickup in Lakeville the week prior to camp.

In addition to the Silver and Gold Awards, Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors (grades 6-12) have a special opportunity to earn two different type of service awards:
Community Service to Girl Scouts
This award is earned when a girl/troop completes 20 hours of volunteer service to Lakeville Girl Scouts. Volunteer Service can include:
Girls/troops keep track of their service hours "on their honor" on this form and parents or troop leader/s should contact Kim Heiar when they have reached 20 hours.
Community Service to Community
This awards requires a minimum of 20 hours of volunteer service in an area of interest for the girl/troop. There is an online form the needs to be completed prior to volunteer service for our council Girl Scouts River Valleys to approve the non-profit charity or cause where the girls will perform the service.
Once the non-profit is approved, volunteer hours can be tracked on this log. Please email Kim Heiar when they have reached 20 hours.
In May, at a service unit celebration, we would like to recognize all Lakeville Girl Scouts who have earned either their 'Service to Community' pin or their 'Service to Girl Scouts' pin.
